General Description

Discover the iconic temples and landmarks of Cambodia with a 7-day – 6-night tour in the resort town of Siem Reap, a gateway to the famous ruins of the Angkor complex. After exploring all the most amazing temples in and around the city, immerse yourself in the lush tropical scenery of Phnom Kulen National Park, then marvel at the jungle temples of Beng Mealea and Koh Ker. Continue to the Tonle Sap, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia, and the Preah Vihear, one of the masterpieces of Khmer architecture, set in a remote and pristine location at the border with Thailand.

 

Itinerary

Day 1Siem Reap – Arrival at Siem Reap International Airport (No guide)

Arrive at Siem Reap International Airport, meet with your professional and friendly driver, and transfer to your selected hotel for check-in.
Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 2Angkor temple World Heritage Site tour

Breakfast at the hotel. Your tour guide and driver will pick you up at 08:00 am to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Angkor. It covers an area of 9 Km2 surrounded by walls and moats. The tour starts from the South Gate of Angkor Thom, within the area there are several temples: the Bayon, the Baphoun, the Royal Palace, the Phimeanakas, the Terrace of the Elephant, and the Terrace of the Leper King. Later we continue to the temple of Ta Prohm, lost in the jungle and covered by giant tropical trees. Lunch at leisure (not included). In the afternoon visit one of the wonders of the world: Angkor Wat. We will proceed with visiting Pre Rup Temple to watch the sunset, then return to the hotel.
Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 3Phnom Kulen National Park

Breakfast at the hotel. Then transfer to visit Phnom Kulen National Park located about 60 km north of Siem Reap. Reach the top of the mountain to enjoy the most beautiful view of the surrounding area and to visit the largest reclining Buddha statue in Cambodia, directly carved on a sandstone in the mountain. Lunch at leisure (not included). Then visit the 1000 Lingas, on the bank of a river, and the largest waterfall in the area. Swim and relax in the sacred water (believed to wash your sins away) before visiting the Sugar Palm Village to see how the sugar palm is made and admire some traditional Khmer wooden houses. Transfer back to the hotel.
Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 4Beng Mealea – Koh Ker

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to visit two of the most interesting and spectacular temples on the outskirts of Angkor: Beng Mealea, located in the jungle outside the archaeological park, about 60 km east of Angkor, and Koh Ker, about 120 km from Angkor. Start with Koh Ker, which was the capital for a short time in the 10th century. In Koh Ker visit Prasat Thom, the first 7-tiered pyramid temple, the temples of Linga Pura and Prasat Pram, surrounded by massive trees. Lunch at leisure (not included). After lunch continue to Beng Mealea. Return to the hotel and overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 5Siem Reap - Tonle Sap - Cruise to Floating village

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Roluos Local Market, the oldest market in Siem Reap: it will be like traveling back in time to ancient Angkor daily life. Later continue to the largest lake in Southeast Asia, the Tonle Sap and visit the floating village. After cruising the Tonle Sap, continue to Artisans Angkor, the Silk Farm, West Baray, and Wat Svay Monasteries, then transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 6Siem Reap – Preah Vihear temple

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the northeast of Angkor archaeological park to visit the 10th-century temple Preah Vihear, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2008. Lunch at leisure (not included). On the way back after visiting the temple, enjoy a view of the jungle and villages in the rural Cambodian countryside. Transfer back to Siem Reap.
Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 7Siem Reap - Departure (No Guide)

Breakfast at the hotel, free time for leisure until the transfer to Siem Reap International Airport in time for your flight.

  • 100% pre-payment must be made 15 days before arrival.

All cancellations must be made in writing

  •         Any cancellation at 30 days before the arrival date: No charge
  •         Any cancellation between 29 days – 15 days before the arrival date: 50% of the tour fare charge
  •         Any cancellation between 14 days – 7 days before the arrival date: 75% of the tour fare charge
  •         Any cancellation less than 7 days: 100% of tour fare charge
