The first stop of the day is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ayutthaya, the former Capital of Thailand, now an historical park and ruin complex. You will visit some of the most important monuments and temples, including the Wat Maha That and the Wat Phi Khao Tong. Around noon you will have a delicious Thai buffet lunch before continuing the tour to the Wat Phra Si Sanphat, a Royal Temple only used by Thai Kings, and the most sacred temple of the Royal Palace. The following visits are to the Viharn Phra Mongkol Bopit temple and to the Summer Palace, then it’s time to drive back to your hotel in Bangkok.
06.30 am Pick up in Hotel In Bangkok.
07.30 am Depart from Bangkok to Ayutthaya by bus
09.30 am Arrive in Ayutthaya and visit the ancient palace and several other buildings: Wat Phu Khao Thong, Wat Lokaya Sutha, Wat Mahathat.
The Wat Mahathat is over 600-year old and was the heart and soul of Ayutthaya. It was almost completely destroyed by the Burmese during the Thai-Burmese War.
12.00 pm Enjoy a Thai Buffet Lunch and some time to relax
13.00 pm Visit the Wat Phra Si Sanphat, a very large monastery that is part of the Royal Palace complex. It was the most sacred temple of the complex, only used by the Ayutthaya Kings.
14.30 pm See one of the largest bronze Buddha statue in Thailand at the Viharn Phra Mongkol Bopit.
15.00 pm Visit Bang Pa In also known as the Summer Palace. The building has been used by the former King, Rama IX, and Queen Sirikit as residence and for receptions and banquet until recently.
17.30 pm Arrive back to the Hotel in Bangkok.

A day trip to Ayutthaya is a rewarding cultural experience when you’re in Bangkok: it will surprise you with close-up views of the temples and historic sites along the Chao Phraya River.
The Ayutthaya complex and historic park bursts with magnificent temples and palaces as well as stories and legends to be told. The ancient ruins portrait the picture of a glorious Capital city which was destroyed by the Burmese army in the 18th Century.
Since you will be visiting temples and palaces, please dress conservatively: no shorts, sleeveless shirt of see-trough shirts and tops.
Wear comfort shoes easy to take off.
