After breakfast in hotel, departure from Bangkok heading west to reach the town of Nakhom Phathom for a visit to the Phra Phatom Chedi, the largest pagoda whose dome, resembling an immense inverted bell, stands 127 meters high and dominates the entire city. Depart for the province of Kanchanaburi, the third-largest province in Thailand, covering almost 20,000 square kilometers and extending to the extreme west, bordering Myanmar. Visit a temple complex situated atop a hill, including Wat Tham Sua, featuring an 18-meter-high and 10-meter-wide Buddha image with an exceptional panoramic view overlooking the Mae Klong River and the green rice fields. Arrive in the city of Kanchanaburi for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, depart to Nam Tok railway station and board the antique train, crossing several railway viaducts that wind along the steep mountain walls, following the “Kwai Noi” River until reaching Tham Krasae station. Continue by minivan along the course of the “Kwai Noi” River to the embarkation pier of a charming resort located on the riverbanks, surrounded by jungle and tall mountains. Check-in at the hotel, dinner on your own, and overnight stay.

After breakfast at the hotel, depart to The Historical Park of Prasat Muang Sing, a Khmer-style temple complex covering an area of approximately 736,000 square meters, with similarities to the famous Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Continue to Erawan National Park, known for its famous 7-tiered waterfall, which stretches 1500 meters down from the Huai Mong Lai River through a 2100-meter-high mountain. Enjoy some free time for light trekking and the opportunity to swim in designated areas near the waterfall levels, surrounded by the beauty of the forest. After lunch at a local restaurant, arrive in the city and visit the renowned “Bridge over the River Kwai,” partially destroyed during the war and now restored to its former shape. Check-in at the hotel, dinner on your own, and overnight stay.

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a half-day excursion to the elephant sanctuary, offering visitors a pleasant opportunity to spend time with elephants in their natural habitat while gaining insight into their history and behavior. After feeding the elephants with bananas and sugar cane, take a walk through the sanctuary, where you’ll encounter elephants roaming freely. You can even bathe with the elephants in a mud pool and experience a cosmetic mud treatment for their skin. Enjoy lunch within the sanctuary. In the early afternoon, depart for Ayutthaya, founded in 1350 and serving as the second capital of the glorious Kingdom of Siam for 417 years during the reign of 33 kings. Ayutthaya is a vast island surrounded by three rivers on all sides (Chao Phraya, Pasak, and Lopburi) and a canal, housing the ruins of an ancient city. Despite being sacked and set ablaze by Burmese invaders in the 18th century, its ruins remain a testament to the past glory of what was once the most beautiful city in the East. Check-in at the hotel, dinner on your own, and overnight stay.

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll visit the Historical Park of Ayutthaya, a remarkable testament to Thailand’s rich history and past grandeur, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991. The ruins include 425 archaeological sites within and outside the city walls, featuring ancient temples, palaces, monasteries, and Buddhist statues. Notable sites include the Wat Mahathat, famous for the Buddha head trapped between tree roots; the Wat Phra Si Sanphet, which housed the royal palace and three impressive chedis; the Wat Chai Watthanaram, a majestic religious complex on the banks of the Chao Phraya River; and the Wat Mongkhon Bophit, featuring a towering 12-meter-high bronze Buddha statue, representing the Buddha in a seated position with his right hand touching the earth, symbolizing his enlightenment.
We’ll return to Bangkok and transfer to the hotel (supplement for airport transfer).
