Itinerary

Day 1

Kuala Lumpur - Batu Caves

(-/-/-)

Depart for Batu Caves, home to Malaysia’s most important Hindu temple. Batu Caves is around a 20-minute drive from the city center. The temple is dedicated to Lord Subramaniam and serves as the site of the annual Thaipusam event. We must ascend 272 steps to reach the top of the Caves. There is no minimum fitness requirement, although individuals with walking difficulties are discouraged from going to the top. The tour continues with a visit to a small batik factory where a demonstration of this painting technique is conducted, followed by a visit to Royal Selangor Pewter, a modern yet intriguing facility where pewter objects are expertly handcrafted.
