Half Day
General Description

One amazing half day trip from Kuala Lumpur to discover the Batu Caves Temple, home to one of the most revered Hindu shrines in the world and to an exceptionally colourful and steep staircases that became quite famous itself. To reach the highest level of the caves, be prepared to ascend a little less than 300 steps.

On the way to the Batu Caves, we will stop at the Royal Selangor Pewter, Malaysia’s leading company in pewter products, and to visit a Batik factory where you will have the opportunity to see some of the most exquisite Malay textiles.

Day 1

Kuala Lumpur - Batu Caves

Depart for Batu Caves, home to Malaysia’s most important Hindu temple. Batu Caves is around a 20-minute drive from the city center. The temple is dedicated to Lord Subramaniam and serves as the site of the annual Thaipusam event. We must ascend 272 steps to reach the top of the Caves. There is no minimum fitness requirement, although individuals with walking difficulties are discouraged from going to the top. The tour continues with a visit to a small batik factory where a demonstration of this painting technique is conducted, followed by a visit to Royal Selangor Pewter, a modern yet intriguing facility where pewter objects are expertly handcrafted.
