General Description

An immersive 4 day-3 night tour exploring the beautiful sceneries and most important temples in South Bali:  from the Gitgit Waterfall and Mt Batur to the Kintamani countryside; from the largest and most sacred shrine of the island, the Besakih Temple, to the lovely Gunung Kawi, set in a lush river valley. The tour ends in Ubud, a centre of arts and craftsmanship surrounded by majestic royal palaces,  green hillsides and rice terraces.

Itinerary

Day 1

South of Bali - Lovina

Depart for Lovina at 8:00 a.m. On the way, we’ll stop at the Tanah Lot temple. The journey will then continue north through Alas Keraton to the monkey forest. The next stop will be in Bedugul, where we will see the Pura Ulu Danu temple on Beratan Lake. Ulun Danu Temple is situated on a plateau 1,200 meters above sea level. The Gitgit Waterfall will then befall us. The sound of its water can be heard from 200 meters away, and as we get closer, we can see a beautiful massive amount of water falling from a height of 45 meters. Check into the hotel.

Day 2

Lovina - Candidasa

Depart for Candidasa at 8 a.m., with a brief stop at Buleleng’s traditional market. Following that, we will go to the Pura Beji temple, which is dedicated to the Goddess Dewi Sri, who protects the rice fields. We’ll continue on our way to Kintamani. The view of the volcano Batur from here is spectacular. Lunch will be served at a nearby restaurant with a spectacular view. After lunch, we’ll go to Besakih, Bali’s most important and largest temple. The temple was built in the 11th century at 1000 meters above sea level on the slopes of Mount Agung, Bali’s sacred volcano. We’ll then continue on to Candidasa, where we’ll check into hotel.

Day 3

Candidasa - Ubud

Breakfast at hotel. Depart at 8 a.m. for Goa Lawah, a temple in a cave inhabited by hordes of bats. Then we’ll go to Sidemen, which has a beautiful landscape of terraced hills. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant with a valley view. The journey will continue to Klung Kung, where the Kertagosa Palace, a beautiful example of traditional Balinese architecture that was formerly used as the Court of Justice, will be visited. Gunung Kawi, an 11th century temple and funerary complex, will be the day’s final stop. We’ll arrive in Ubud late in the afternoon. Check in at the hotel.

Ubud departure

Breakfast at the hotel.  You have the morning free to explore the town. The flight details will be used to determine the departure transfer to Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Policy

Travelers can cancel the tour before the deadline of cancellation; charges will be applied according to the cancellation deadline. The date of cancellation is the date in which the written communication od cancellation is received by the company.  Charges are a percentage of the total tour price per person, including surcharges but excluding any amendment charges and any insurance payment.
