General Description

Thailand’s temples are an enticing mix of spirituality and exoticism. They are places of devotion and meditation, and they can be chaotic and overwhelming at times, when worshippers gather for the main celebrations and the queue can scare the first-comers; however they are also some of the most beautiful places you will ever see in the country.

During this tour you will visit three of the most important temples in Bangkok. Following the pick up at your hotel, head to the Wat Traimit in Chinatown. Then proceed to the Wat Pho, which houses the 46-meter long Reclining Buddha. Finally, visit the Wat Benchamabophit, before returning to your hotel in Bangkok.

Highlights

With a length just over 46 meters, and a height of 15 meters, the gold-plated Reclining Buddha statue inside the Wat Pho is a real spectacle – truly worth seeing. The statue represents the Buddha reaching the state of Nirvana, and it’s decorated with gold leaves, its 4-metre-long feet covered in mother-of-pearl decorations. The Wat Pho houses also the first Traditional Thai massage school where students learn the art of massage from some of the very best teachers in the country.

What you need to know
