How many bird species can you name?
Borneo island has 664+ species of birds (resident and migratory), and more than 50 of them are endemic to Borneo, with new species still being discovered!
This 5 days /4 nights tour brings you around Kota Kinabalu, a heaven for hundreds of beautiful and rare bird species. We will explore the fresh water swamp of Likas Lagoon, Mount Kinabalu and the Kinabalu Park, and make good use of the observatory towers and canopy walks where many iconic birds are active.
Arrive at Kota Kinabalu airport and transfer to your hotel for check-in before heading out in the late afternoon for Birding at the Likas Wetlands.

Depart in the morning after breakfast to the Tambunan area for birding. In the afternoon, we make our way to the foothills of Mount Kinabalu.

Breakfast in hotel. Spend a full day bird watching around Kinabalu Park, exploring the various trails and avoiding the crowds. After birding for the day, we overnight at Kinabalu Park.

Spend another full day bird watching, this time in Poring Hot Springs. We’ll follow the various jungle trails in the area and also use the platforms of the canopy walkway for spotting before returning in the evening to overnight at Kinabalu Park.

Breakfast at the hotel. We waste no time as we spend the final day bird watching at Kinabalu Park area. After lunch, we make our way back to Kota Kinabalu to be dropped off at a hotel in the city or at the airport for your flight out.

Note: In accordance to the Malaysian Tourism Tax Act 2017, with effect from 1st Sep 2017, all foreign tourists/Non Malaysians will be charged a flat rate of RM10 per room per night in any registered tourist accommodation premises and this is collected directly by the hotels/resorts/lodges upon check in. The Tourism Tax (TTx) is mandatory under Malaysian Law. Tourism Tax is not included in all tour packages.
Customers are encouraged to purchase their own travel insurance before travelling to Borneo. We recommend you to select a travel insurance policy that covers not only your medical expenses (including emergency repatriation) but also personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage. Doing so can prevent major disruptions and additional costs.

As the hotels have different seasons that vary from hotel to hotel, the tour price will be on request, and the final amount will be calculated at the time of booking, according to the travel dates chosen.

Travelers can cancel the tour before the deadline of cancellation; charges will be applied according to the cancellation deadline. The date of cancellation is the date in which the written communication od cancellation is received by the company. Charges are a percentage of the total tour price per person, including surcharges but excluding any amendment charges and any insurance payment.
