The 4-Island Sunset Tour is a variant of the basic tour, including the same destinations. What really makes the difference is its schedule that allows you to enjoy places that are usually crowded when most of the people are already back to the mainland. Spending quiet time in beaches and snorkelling spots and enjoying them unexpectedly empty is priceless.
But the best part of the tour comes at the end of the day, when is time to admire dramatic sunsets and swim in dark waters dotted by bio luminescent plankton.
Pick up in hotel by air-con minivan or by Song-tew, transfer to the boarding place, meeting with local guide and short briefing.

Stop at Tup island
We arrive in Tup Island with its sandy banks. Relax on the beach, swim or snorkel. The island of Yawasam (Tup’s real name)is magnificent in its simplicity: it might look ike a standard, small island with a tiny beach but, if you go beyond appearances, once you get off the boat you’ll see what an incredible place it is, a little paradise of clear waters and a white sandy beach.
Tup island is mid way between Poda and Chicken Islands bandits just a narrow strip of sand. Its main characteristic is the soft sandy bank, a narrow sandy path that, depending on the tide, connects or divides the two islands. At low tide you can take a walk between Tup and Chicken. So, in high or low tide, you will observe different sceneries and enjoy different experiences.
Arrive in Poda Island and enjoy a buffet lunch, then relax or swim
Poda is a scenic and beautiful island, the nearest to Ao Nang, about 15 minutes by speed boat from the mainland. Poda’s large beach offers great space to sit or lie in the sun, even though beach chairs and umbrellas are not allowed. With its white sand beach, the surrounding limestone cliff and rain forest, Poda Island may represent everything one could ask for a relaxing time in the Tropics. The island is caressed by a warm amber water, excellent for swimming and snorkelling among dozens of little striped fishes curious enough to get close to bathers. A perfect destination for a day excursion from Ao Nang. Lunch will be served on the beach in Poda.
Snorkeling at Chicken Island
Arrival in Chicken Island and stop at bay for snorkelling
Chicken Island, whose real name is Dam Khwan, takes its name from the chicken shaped rocky formation in the south of the island. It is a limestone mountain covered in forest with a few small beaches that only appear at low tide, but it’s well known for the spectacular snorkelling among coral gardens and angel fish. The peculiar shape of the island has become a symbol of Krabi. Beyond the island, only reachable by boat, there is a cliff from which the bravest can dive into the sea.
Sunset at Phra Nang Beach
Departure from the pier and, after almost 15 minutes, arrival at Phra Nang beach. Time for swimming and relax on the beach
Phra Nang is a concealed diamond in the segregated Railay Peninsula. Phra Nang is that sort of shoreline you may find in postcards or brochures with its Tiffany-blue waters and its white sand shoreline that are, undoubtedly, the centre of this wonderful spot. What makes it so special is the tremendous edge of limestone developments rising from the ocean, a regular heaven for the stone climbers, which are presumably the most shocking in Krabi. Relax on the beach and visit the caves, including the Princess Cave, a votive shrine to fertility dedicated to a legendary princess. Enjoy the sunset from the beach until the last rays of sunlight are gone.
Night snorkeling with luminescent plankton
Last we stop for Snorkelling with Plankton, an amazing show that, while in Thailand, you can enjoy only in Krabi. After sunset, wear your mask and dive in the dark blue waters without any fear, the show you’ll see is really worth it!
Return to the pier (approx 19:45)
Back onboard, return to the pier and transfer back to the hotels.

Phra Nang Beach at sunset
Phra Nang Beach is an highlight by itself: the rocks surrounding the bay, the offshore islands that frame it, the white sands and the blue water are already an unforgettable attraction but at the sunset, when the setting sun change the colours on the earth, the bay takes on tones of light and shadows that make it almost mystical. Waiting there for the upcoming evening gives a sense of relaxation and peace that makes you feel closer to infinity.
Bio luminescent plankton
Try to imagine swimming in a sea full of fireflies. This is the best way to explain the experience that awaits you at the end of the tour, before returning to the port. Sky and sea united in a black colour that seems impenetrable, a plunge into the unknown but then, a light comes on in the sea.
